Company launch
2020-2021
The company was officially launched, and the team was established. The AirHull technology was developed with a focus on integrating it with battery-electric propulsion systems.
Launched 8-meter electric vessel and formed strategic partnerships
2022-2023
We successfully built and launched our fully electric 8-meter prototype vessel, demonstrating an impressive range of over 35 nautical miles at a speed of 20 knots. Additionally, we established strategic partnerships with Nimbus Group to produce electric vessels under the ALUKIN brand, and with Moen Marin to develop electric vessels tailored specifically for the aquaculture industry.
Delivered ALUKIN OceanAir 8 concept vessel and entered shipping
2024
We delivered the ALUKIN OceanAir8 concept vessel in collaboration with Nimbus Group and ALUKIN. Additionally, we initiated efforts to expand into the shipping industry, concentrating on the development of our air lubrication solutions and establishing partnerships with key stakeholders.

Carl Rehn
Carl Rehn
Carl is the CEO of Pascal Technologies. His interest in the ocean and technology led him to pursue a PhD in maritime engineering at NTNU. Carl has more than a decade of experience in shipping, starting in 2010 working on an iron ore carrier. Before joining Pascal, Carl worked as a management consultant for BCG, with the shipping team. Carl is a technology optimist and a strong believer that technology will play a crucial role in creating a better future.
Markus Tufte-Johnsen
Markus Tufte-Johnsen
Markus is the Chief Commercial Officer at Pascal Technologies, responsible for driving business development, leading client relationships, and overseeing product strategy and delivery. He holds an MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU. Before joining Pascal, Markus worked as a management consultant at BCG. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor adventures, playing sports, and learning the piano.
Per Sondre Sodeland
Per Sondre Sodeland
Per leads the technical department at Pascal. He holds a MSc in marine cybernetics from NTNU, and has extensive experience of product- and technology development in the maritime industry. Originally from the south coast, Per loves spending time at the sea sailing, swimming or simply relaxing.
Erik Furnes
Erik Furnes
Erik is the CFO, overseeing all financial aspects of the company. He holds a master’s degree in economics from NHH and has extensive experience from investment banking. Outside of work, Erik enjoys sports and is an avid skier.
Silje Tolo Haugland
Silje Tolo Haugland
Silje is responsible for marketing and HR at Pascal. She holds an MSc in industrial economics from NTNU and has prior experience as a management consultant from Accenture. Silje enjoys various crafts, particularly ceramics, and loves spending time throwing cups and bowls.
Jesper Hosen
Jesper Hosen
Jesper leads the software department at Pascal. He holds an MSC in cybernetics and robotics from NTNU and has previous experience from Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace working with software and architecture for remote controlled airport control towers and camp protection systems, including image recognition and sensor fusion systems. Jesper enjoys spending time outdoors, running, kayaking and cross-country skiing.

Daniel Nordås
Daniel is head of performance at Pascal. He holds an MSc in marine technology from NTNU and has experience from working with shipping at DNV. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time riding his bike and hitting the golf course, and fiddling around with data science and programming projects.
